A Few Weekend Thoughts

NASCAR Season is almost over.  For some drivers it was over after the First Race of the season.

Dale Earnhart Junior was done as soon as the season began.  After missing much of last year's races due to a concussion, he announced his retirement midway through this season.  Honestly, I would have been right there with him but Many Fans thought he just played it safe all season.

Someone else who won't be back next season is NASCAR's only female drive, Danicia Patrick.

To say her Entire NASCAR Career was a "Disappointment" would be an Understatement!   I have a friend who was "Enamored" by her looks which made him blind to the fact she has had an Average Finish in her NASCAR Career of 27th Place.   When there are drivers who are "Competitive" each week, NASCAR does Not Need Any Eye Candy!

Are you getting TIRED of all the President Trump bashing?  Some news outlets have made it their Daily Job to Bash and try to Undermine Each and Every thing the President accomplishes.

Since taking office the Stock market has GROWN by 25%, a Number which is Measured in Trillions!  That means your 401k's have gone up, in average, by 25%.  And I am sick and tired of DUMBASS LIBERALS saying "It was all done by President Obama!"  Are you REALLY THAT STUPID?  President Obama has been GONE TEN MONTHS!  Do you think he has been personally putting money in to prop up the Stock Market?   The relaxing of Strict Regulations, which Obama did put it place, and the Optimism of The Country that we FINALLY have a President that will GET SOMETHING DONE is why the Stock Market has grown.  I think the Nancy Pelosi's and other Liberals of the Senate and Congress and going to find themselves joining Hillary saying "What Happened?  Why did I lose?" In the 2018 elections.

I am also VERY TIRED of these people who think it is their personal duty to post on Facebook and Twitter as many Negative, often "Fake News or Opinion Pieces" about President Trump.

You need to remember President Trump was ELECTED Fair & Square!  He is the Leader of the Free World.  You might as well move to Russia or Iran if you want to Hate on our President.  As American's we need to RESPECT THE OFFICE and WHOEVER the Current Occupant may be.  The ones who did NOT vote for President Obama did not post a Daily Constant Berate Stories of Hate Obama stories.   For those who claim there was Daily Stories, look no further than The Harvard Political School or the Yale University Media Departments.  Here are two of the most Liberal Institutions in the country who have done Extensive Studies.   They have also done studies on the So-Called Mainstream Media and have found the Anti Trump stories on the nightly news are 14-1 Anti Trump.  As a country, we need to give President Trump a chance.

I saw Five Posts just this morning where the woman was Bragging on how good her "New Lingerie"  looked on her or how great her "Naked body looks" now that she has lost weight!

I have been Fighting, and Losing a Battle with a Horrible Cold all week!  After having Phenomenological Phenomena a few years ago spending 21 days in the Hospital and Almost Dying, when I get a cold I cannot shake, I go to the Doctor's Office.   At Seven AM This Morning when they opened, the Doctor's Office was PACKED!

I give my Doctor credit, she spent ten minutes with me and wrote three prescriptions which she told me will make me well by the weekend.   It is a Miracle of Modern Medicine!  Three Prescriptions, which totaled $48, a  $24 Co-Pay for visit and I will be cured by Saturday!  I guess I will let you know on Saturday?


Rumor has it that Mega Movie Star, Tom Cruise, may be planning Wedding # 4 to actress Vanessa Kirby.

The shine on Cruise's career has lost some of it's luster in recent years due to his Scientology Religion and battles with his most notable Ex, Nicole Kidman.  My guess is there still is not a woman in the world who would thrown him out of bed.  ( as well as a few men, lol )

What Scares you most about Halloween?

For me I am most afraid that Christmas is just Eight Weeks away!  I guess I need to start shopping?

Even if it is just paying the Toll for the person behind you or paying for their coffee in the Drive-Thru at McDonalds.  You cannot imagine what it will do for that person's day!

Things I Miss

This has been a week of reflection for me.  I do not know if it is because of the Terrible Shooting here in Las Vegas a week ago or that I have another Birthday in a couple of weeks.  ( I will be 62 on the 21st.)

I was thinking this week of the things I miss.  I miss rushing home from school to see "The Mickey Mouse Club".

Over the years I have had the good fortune of meeting many of the Original Mouseketeers.  Including every boy in America's Favorite, Annette Funicello.

To answer a few questions about Annette, Yes, she was even nicer than her reputation of being wonderful.  And Yes, she was still a Beautiful Woman with a Killer Body that every little boy dreamed about who were wearing Mouse Ears!

I miss getting up early to watch "The Lone Ranger" catch the bad guys each morning before I walked to school.

I met "Tonto" ( Jay Silverheels ) at a Western Convention and the words Nice Guy do not come close to describing how nice of person he was, even when I met him in his later years.

I interviewed Clayton Moore, "The Lone Ranger" himself, via telephone during my Talk Show days in broadcasting.   Honestly, I found him to be a bitter old man who felt he was "Cheated" in Lone Ranger royalties.  Perhaps he was but when you were doing a talk show interview to promote the DVD release of all the episodes, that is NOT a time to be bitter.

Growing up in Hannibal, Missouri, I also spent each afternoon with "Cactus Jim" (Dick Moore)

"Cactus Jim" was a local host of a 30 minute kids show which always reminded you to "Say you prayers and Kink Your Pinkie  Finger" when you drank your Prairie Farms Milk ( the show's sponsor)   Dick passed away earlier this year which was a great loss to many kids childhood, including mine.   You could not have asked for a better person to be a role model for kids.  "Cactus Jim" continued to keep current a Facebook Page right up to his death.  I had several e-mail exchanges with Dick who was proud of his work, his religion and his poetry works which he was a published author.

And no kids childhood would be complete without "Bozo The Clown".

"Bozo", played by many men over the years always had his friend "Cookie The Clown" by his side trying to explain the simple things in life.   And my day would not be the same without watching Bozo pick a kid out of the crowd to play "The Grand Prize Game".

But of course those days are now just memories but I often wonder "What do kids do with their time now?"  So I asked some friends with kids and sadly, almost to a parent, I found their kids were either on their Cell Phone Texting or on the Internet.  Think of the role models they do not have in their lives.  Is this part of the reason that schools have security guards due to violence and more young adult are in prison than ever before?  It makes you wonder.

The shooting tragedy here in Las Vegas brought a "Sadness" over the entire city.  But it also brought neighbors and complete strangers together to realize that the Evil of One Man does not define our city!    We are a city which has over 32 Million Friends from All Over The World come to our city to get away from their sometime boring lives.  A gentleman from the Midwest hand crafted 58 Wooden Crosses and set them up at the Famous Las Vegas sign.

We are a city of Love and our guests this week helped remind us that we depend as much on our tourists than they depend on us!

One of the other stories which "Slipped through the cracks" this week was the passing of Comedian Ralphie May.  He had finished Second on the first season of "Last Comic Standing" back in 2003 which made his career take off. 

He enjoyed a regular gig at Harrah's Resort and Casino for over a year.  He died from Cardiac Arrest at age 45.  He is survived by a wife and two kids.   I guess it was a tough week for God as well and he needed some laughs!

Something else I miss is "Old Las Vegas".  There was a time here a mere forty five or fifty years ago that Las Vegas was owned and ran by Organized Crime, yes, The Mob.

Those were the days that your $100 to $500 Bankroll Meant Something to Casino Bosses.

Those were the days when if you went to see a Las Vegas Headliner, men had to wear a Coat and Toe and the Ladies a nice dress.  My first few visits to Las Vegas you were "Expected" to wear a Coat and Tie to play a Slot Machine!

And you notice there are No Chairs in front of the slots?  It was not until the early seventies when, as rumor has it,  chairs were added when a Mod Boss's Wife complained about having to stand.

Now that "Corporate Owners" are the norm instead of the exception, it has gotten to be more about "The Bottom Line" than the player in most casinos. 

Don't get me wrong, Las Vegas is still the Best Buck for your Vacation Dollar with Major Headliners performing every night.  And don't think you have to spend a lot of money to have a Great Time!  There are so many FREE Attractions for you to enjoy, 24 hours a day!

And lastly, I miss the days when people did NOT Blame the President or the United States Government

For things like
*   The Las Vegas Shooting
*   Hurricanes
*   The Way People Treat Each Other
*   Global Warming
*   Other Countries Political Issues

And On & On & On!

Blaming John F Kennedy for Global Warming or an Evil Gunman who shoots up an Outdoor Concert?

I miss the days BEFORE all the Cable News Channels who Intentionally "Skew" the news to their Political Views? 

All of the things I miss can be summed up in a line from one of my favorite songs.  In her Mega-Hit, "At Seventeen", Janis Ian has a line that says

" It Was Long Ago And Far Away, The World Was Younger Than Today".

The Vegas Tragedy

Everyone who lives in Las Vegas have all feared something like this would happen.

One Evil Man decided on Sunday night to do the indescribable by firing into a crowd of 22,000 concert goers on The Las Vegas Strip.

Whether he had help is yet to be determined, but he is the Single Shooter from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. 

That night these people lost their lives at the hand of EVIL!

For all those who try to find a Government Conspiracy, STOP!  You are INSULATING those of us who call Las Vegas home and those of us who knew someone at the concert.

We were offered tickets to the concert early in the day on Sunday but chose to not go due to the long walk from the parking area to the venue.  Sunday night at 10pm we realized that it was "Not our time to die" and Thanked God we stayed home.

This week it is hard to talk to friends, co-workers or the person behind the counter at 7-11 and not run into someone who was either at the concert or knew someone who did attend. 

For those who do not live here, Las Vegas is like any Hometown, USA.   We have churches, grocery stores, city parks and yes, we also have casinos.  A Majority of Las Vegas Residents RARELY visit the Las Vegas Strip.  My Wife and I go down perhaps more than some as we attended five or six Las Vegas Shows or Concerts a month. 

Las Vegas will NEVER forget what happened this past Sunday, but we also Will Not let it define our city.  With thousands and thousands of cameras on the strip and inside the casinos, Las Vegas is perhaps the SAFEST place in America.   Less than TWO MINUTES after the first shot, there were Las Vegas Metro Police on scene.   Less than FIVE MINUTES later there were HUNDREDS of First Responders on site Saving Lives!  Less than Thirty Minutes later, there were over TWO THOUSAND Police, Firefighters and EMT's risking Their Lives to take the injured to the Hospital and treat over 500 on the concert grounds.  This all going on while there was still no definitive word on what happened to the shooter. 

I am PROUD to call Las Vegas home.  When you come to my city to visit you will find everyone from the Skycaps, Cab Drivers, the Casino Workers and the Residents you will run into on the street, some of the Friendliest People in the World. 

We DEPEND on YOU, our Visitors.  And we want you to DEPEND on US as well!

OJ: Not The Kind You Drink

By Monday, OJ Simpson will be released from a Nevada prison.

Mister Simpson, was convicted here for Armed Robbery in connection with an altercation at Palace Station Casino.  There are Very Mixed feelings on him receiving parole for this crime, but the long and short of it is, he has done his time and he deserves to be released.  There are those, including myself, that feel he Murdered Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown, but he was never convicted.  When it comes to that case, most feel the Prosecution "Botched" the trial, from the "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit"

To the overall handling of the case by the LA District Attorney. 

It was shocking news to many to hear the news that Playboy Magazine Hugh Hefner pasted away this week.

The man who many say w as responsible for the "Sexual Revolution" died peacefully in his sleep at The Playboy mansion in Los Angeles.  He was 91.


I have noticed that 99% of the "Hate Speech Remarks"  are aimed toward Trump Supporters, and are coming from Liberals.

The Liberals are the ones who are predominantly who are making the Personal Attacks and Rude Remarks.  If you look at the Riots which have broken out at "So-Called" Peaceful Protests which have been started by Liberal Agitators.   If you were 100% Honest with yourself, there has been a continued effort by the Liberals and The Democrats to Undermine this President.   There have even been Members of Congress and The Senate who have openly commented they will "Never vote for and oppose any bill or program which President Trump introduces."  Is this the way America is suppose to work?   What happened to Elected Politicians voting for what their constituents want?   I feel many of these long time politicians will find themselves Out Of Work come the 2018 Mid-Term Elections.

Had the ELECTED Senators voted the way their Constituents ASKED them to vote, we would have already had Health Care Reform.   Once again the Liberals say it will "Kill People if we get rid of Obamacare.....and....Millions will Not have insurance"!  Plain and simple, THAT IS A LIE!  The "Millions" who will no longer get covered are the ones who are now FORCED BY LAW to PAY for Obamacare who will CHOOSE NOT TO GET HEALTH COVERAGE.  I compare this to the people who CHOOSE not to get Homeowners Insurance.  You do so at your OWN RISK, if you have a fire or robbery and you lose Everything, it is a chance you CHOSE to take.  Same thing with Healthcare.  The United States is not here to pay 100% of your Health Insurance.

As much as Democrats and Liberals WANT you to believe, Healthcare IS NOT A RIGHT!   If that is what you believe then do you also think Uncle Sam should provide you with Free Car Insurance?   Free Electricity?  Free Food?

This reminds me of the people who "Every Single Day Since The Election" they post Anti-President Trump Articles and Liberal Opinion Pieces on Social Media.  Like my Mother always says, "LET IT GO"!  Your continued Spewing Of Hate toward our Legally Elected President does NOTHING, except drive friends away and make you look like a Sore Loser!  Hillary did NOT lose because of the Russians!  She lost because People Did Not Like Her!   And for those who keep using the CRAP REMARK about how "Three Million More People Voted for Her", Well, that is true.

Those Three Million Votes almost ALL came from California.  Arguably the MOST LIBERAL STATE in The Union!   Do you REALLY want One State representing The Entire Country?  That is why the "Electoral College" was set up, so ALL VOTES IN ALL STATES MATTER!

Sometimes you see a Bumper Sticker that you wish you had to hand out to Several of Your Friends.

More people Support our President than most of The Media realize.  But to support President Trump is to open yourself to Verbal and sometimes even Physical threats, trust me, I know First Hand when it come to that statement.  People I do not even know have threatened me for my writing and my views.  These are the Same People who Cry The Loudest when NFL Players are chastised for Kneeling During The national Anthem.

Remember the old saying "You Can't Have Your Cake And Eat It Too"?    It applies!

The Federal Government today sent out ICE to five "Sanctuary States"  and rounded up more than 500 ILLEGAL ALIENS.

All of those arrested and will soon be deported have COMMITTED FELONIES in our country.  Over 200 have been arrested for Rape.  Are you in favor of letting them stay?  Would you like them to live next door to you or your Daughter?   Also in the 500 were Convicted Murderers and Armed Robbery criminals.   These people had been sent back, sometime several times, and came back to America.  But cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver and others had chosen to WELCOME THEM BACK WITH OPEN ARMS and offered them Protection in their city.  Makes you NOT want to live in a Sanctuary City doesn't it?

I try to watch both CNN, MSNBC and Fox News so I can get "The Entire Story and Perspective" on the news.  One of my favorite shows on Fox News has always been "Outnumbered" as I feel they are always Fair to their guest each day and open to hearing all opinions.   I have Never been a big fan of Megan McCain, Daughter of Senator John McCain, but when she joined the show I welcomed her opinions. 

When she took "A Leave of Absence" to be with her Father who is battling Horrible Brain Cancer, I had so much respect for her for putting Family First.   But then Fast Forward two months and I was SHOCKED by the news she is joining the ABC's Anti-Trump Fest, "The View"

Has Megan McCain now joined her Father as a "Traitor To The Party"?  Don't get me wrong, Senator John McCain is a War Hero and has served this country as an Outstanding US Senator over the years.  But WHAT HAPPENED?  Now he seems Hell Bent on voting AGAINST what the people of Arizona want and AGAINST the Republican Party and President Trump.   As much as I pray for him in his fight with Cancer, I still see him as a "Traitor to The Republican Party and the People Who Elected him to The Senate."

Did you watch the New "Will and Grace" reboot?

It was Thirty Minutes of President Trump bashing.  Come on Hollywood!  We turn on the television in Prime Time to be ENTERTAINED!  Your Trump Bashing is NOT ENTERTAINING!

I predict Four Years from now, when President Trump is Re-Elected, the Networks will have suffered RATINGS FAILURE from which they will NOT be able to recover.

With all their Focus Groups and Studies, the Networks cannot accept there is a Silent Majority which are AFRAID to state their real feelings due to possible repercussions and violence.

A friend of mine asked me yesterday if I knew the difference between a "Tire and 365 Used Condoms?"

I said "That is Easy!  One is a Goodyear and the other is a Great Year"!

When the Judge asked him how he expected to keep his license and continue to practice, He told the Judge, " I am good at Reading Lips"  (Oh My)
