I had a Few Thoughts that I wanted to get off my chest but First here are my NFL Picks for Week One

I already picked one of the Toughest Games of The Year with Kansas City over New England.  Here is my Round Robin Bet Slip to verify my bet.

The Raiders over Tennessee in Tennessee.

I always bet the Money Line ( Straight Up ) and in the case of a "Round Robin Bet",  Two of Three Teams pay.  And I already have one in the bag with Kansas City!

Now to a few things on my mind!  Starting with
Rush Limbaugh

I have always found Rush entertaining but Way Over The Top!  I had a friend who passed away a few years ago who was a childhood friend of Rush and actually met Rush one time when I lived in West Palm Beach.  Just like Radio Shock Jock, much of what Rush does on the air is just his way of being "Outrageous".  But when I heard Rush get on the air and say Hurricane Irma was part of a "Liberal Conspiracy", I was just DUMBFOUNDED!

It was one Step above some of the Liberal Idiots I hear on CNN who say the "Hurricane is God getting back at America for electing Donald Trump!"

Or the ones who blame "Hurricane Irma on President Trump for backing out of the Paris Climate Accord."  Really?  Really?  That would be like Thanking Hillary Clinton or President Obama for the sun rising today!

How can some of these people go on National Television and make such remarks with a Straight Face?

I even heard one Minister on CNN say that Hurricane Irma was "God's way of destroying Key West, Florida."

He said Key West had become "America's Gomorrah" with a high percentage of " Homosexuals and Promiscuous Free Sex Couples who look forward to the annual Fantasy Fest where people walk down the street naked."     It is one of my Favorite Events!  I have some good friends who live in Key West who always paint their bodies up and walk down the street naked.  I had planned on going a few years back until I had medical issues which put me in the hospital.  Maybe it was God's way of Punishing me for wanting to see all those Naked People?  LOL

Speaking of Naked People, I was talking to a guy at the mall who told me he had a "Naked photo of every woman he had ever been with."

I said "What!  And they let you take the pictures?"  He went on to tell me "Yes, I tell them that is part of sleeping with me!"  Not that I would not want a Naked Picture of the women I have slept with, ( feel free to send me, even if I have not slept with you, lol )  but this guy made it sound like it was a "Privilege to sleep with him!"  Talk about EGO RUN A MUCK!  He should be a politician!

Country Music Superstar Don Williams passed today.

I met Don Williams a couple of times and always found him to be a "Soft Spoken Gentle Man" who was appreciative of his success.  I don't ever remember seeing him without a Cigarette in one hand and a Cup of Coffee in the other.  He died of emphysema at age 78.


How has "The View" stayed on the air for Twenty (20) Years?

When I watch television I want to be Entertained!  I do not want to hear sixty minutes of continuous Liberal Hate Spew. When Barbara Walters hosted, the show was more Entertainment than opinion.  These days I would rather watch senseless Game Shows then be BATTERED with Hollywood's Liberal Hate.

Speaking of Television, why do companies feel like they must hire people from Other Countries to be "Customer Service Representatives"?

I called Direct TV today and spent FIVE F'N MINUTES explaining to "Kevin" ( someone who was in India or Somewhere Else ) That "Dan" was short for "Daniel" which was the name on my bill.  Kevin asked me "Is Dan a nickname?  Or is it just some name you chose to be called?"  NO, IT IS SHORT FOR DANIEL!   "Who is Daniel?  Is he there?"  I said "Yes, it me".  He then said "I thought you told me your name was Dan?  Who is Daniel to you?"  If not for the Sports which Direct TV offers, I would have ripped my boxes right out of the wall!  What has happened to this country?  Donald, Please Help!

There was another Tragedy in Country Music today.  Try Gentry, of the duo Montgomery Gentry, died in a helicopter crash.

I had just seen the Superstar Duo a few months ago and this is a Major Loss to the Music World.  Gentry was fifty years old and no cause of the crash was given.

A friend of mine said to me this week, "You sure do attend a lot of concerts."  And actually, I do.

Living in Las Vegas there is ALWAYS something to do or someone to see!  On any given day there are over Two Hundred (200) Production Shows, Concerts or House bands to enjoy.  This includes over Fifteen (15)  Magicians who perform every day, and I love Magicians!  When I was about ten years old my Father took me to see the Legendary Harry Blackstone Sr.  Here was an artist in his Seventies who still enjoyed playing, even in small theaters, mystifying all ages with his craft.   I would become friends with an Internationally Touring Magician while working in Denver who now also lives here in Vegas and we try to get together for dinner once a month as our schedules permit.  While my Wife Sharon tired of magicians, I still find excitement of watching them smoothly display their craft to audiences.  In addition to Magicians, I try to see at least one Las Vegas Production Show, such as The Beatles Love, and several concerts a month.  Thankfully, I have a ticket source which gets me into most shows free. Always a good price!  This weekend I am going to see an up and coming Comedian as well as Melissa Etheridge.

Is it Just Me or is "In and Out Burger" overrated?

There is always a line at the Drive-Thru but personally I would rather eat a Wendy's Single with cheese!


This is still one of my Favorite Books!

I hope they never dig up the backyard of the house where I grew up!

Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and see one of those Infomercials and wonder, "I wonder if that works?"

I think I have only worn sock twice in the past ten years so I don't think it's work the $19.95 to find out.

Mostly Just For Fun

There have been so many Political Posts and so much Hate Spewed by both sides, it is time for a little fun!

With Hurricane Harvey making such an impact on so many and now Edna bearing down on Florida I heard someone at Home Depot say there were some that Welcomed the storms.  WHAT???

Oh, OK, I get it!

One other noted personality who looks to be trying to cash in on Hurricane Erma is Pastor Jim Baker.

He has been selling his "Survival Food Pack" for a mere $175!
On recent shows he has said that "The Hurricanes Are God's Judgement".  Well, my God would NEVER Hurt People.  And I think if My God wanted me to eat in a natural disaster he would have already sent me a check for $175!

I was talking to a friend the other day who told me her Father was "Very Picky" about who she dated.  He always INSISTED on meeting potential suitors first.

Maybe this goes a little too far?

I have been thinking of President Trump's ending the DACA Program as was started by President Obama.  While I have Hope that Congress will do the right thing and come up with a DACA Replacement.  Perhaps a Permanent Green Card.

If you have ever seen The Statue Of Liberty in person it is a Very Moving Icon of our Country.  I remember when I visited New York it made me stop and pause on what the statue meant to so many people.
While this is the ONLY Country many DACA Participants have ever known, perhaps we should address the Root Problem and Fix our Immigration.

As Summer has now come to an end, I was asking a friend about her Summer.  She told me she bought herself a new bikini but all she seemed to hear was

"Good For You!"   Not the words she had expected to hear.  Welllllllllllll?

I was thinking that Relationships are like Fat People!

Many of them don't work out!

A friend of mine Daughter turned Sixteen today.  So like any good Mother she took her Daughter down to the DMV to get her Drivers License.  When they got back I asked her if she got her licence?

She bowed her head and said "No!  The Tester asked me a question he said I answered wrong!"  I asked "What question?"
She said " He asked me what I do when I come up to a Red Light? I told him, well, I check my e-mail, catch up on my Text's and see what my friends are doing on Facebook!"
She will take the test again next week.

As I grow older I am becoming "Forgetful".    One of the things I have trouble with is trying to remember All My Passwords.  Today I came up with the Perfect Solution.  I changed all my Passwords to the word "Incorrect"

I will not forget them now!

I still forget other things however.  Like today, I forgot to go to the gym!

Hurricane Harvey & More

Hurricane Harvey has been one of the biggest disasters to hit the United States in many years.

The flooding and damage will take years to recover.  By most accounts President Trump did an outstanding job of staying ahead of the storm with the needed aid to the states.

By MOST ACCOUNTS!  I cannot believe that in this time of suffering for millions affected, the Liberal Media chose to get "Petty" complaining about Melania Trump's shoes and one CNN Analyst even had the nerve to say to Trump Adviser Kelly Anne Conway that "Don't you think Hurricane Harvey was a result of President Trump withdrawing from the Global Warming Accord of Paris which President Obama has signed?  The Global Warming can be directly linked to the strength and number of hurricanes and other storms."  Give me a F'N Break!  How can ANYONE then go on to say "The destruction of Harvey and the suffering of millions can be directly related to President Trump.  The deaths and suffering is on his hands".   How could ANYONE make such a senseless and hurtful remark.

Forecasters are fearful that TWO ADDITIONAL HURRICANES are heading toward the Gulf of Mexico.  One could arrive by the middle of next week and the "Mother Of All Category Five Hurricanes" could hit the Gulf Coast by next weekend.

The City of Los Angeles is the latest city to replace "Columbus Day" with "Indigenous People Day".

New York City plans to take down the Columbus Statue saying he was a "Slave owner who killed thousands of Native Americans."
Where will "Revisionist History" Stop?   Will the Pope call for all Statues of Christ or and Virgin Mary removed?

Don't think this cannot happen!  There are Atheist Groups that have already filed complaints that "Religious Symbols" are offensive to them and need to be removed.

Maybe we should remove all paintings and photos of President John F Kennedy?   After all he was a well documented Womanizer. Where does it end?

Get ready to Pay, Pay, Pay.  It will cost you $125 for a Non-Personalized Autographed Copy with NO PHOTO OP!  If you want a Meet & Greet to have your book "Personalized and Get A Selfie with Hillary", it will set you back a mere $2400!  The President of Iran should ask for a rebate.  After all, it cost him Twelve Million donated to the Clinton Foundation to get a Photo Op!

Her book is called "What Happened".   I think it might be a very Short Book?

Artificial Intelligence Scares Me

Does "Artificial Intelligence" just scare you  to death?  When it comes to Siri and Alexis I feel they are not my friends.  Smart Phones, Smart Appliances and now Driver-less Smart cars KNOW WAY TOO MUCH about me!  A recent murder case was solved when the Convicted Murder's Echo was brought into the courtroom and it was discovered it had "Stored" all the conversations and ambient sounds in the room for the previous two years!   The act of him killing his wife was captured on his Echo and ended up sending him to the big house.

Now I don't plan on murdering my wife but it bothers me that Bog Brother is always listening and stores my conversation on some big government computer.

Paranoid?  Not Me, but there is software priced at Under $100 that allows you to access and Turn On ANYONE'S Webcam , Echo or other device WITHOUT them knowing.

So think about that webcam attached to your computer in your bedroom and what people could see if they could watch without your knowing 24 hours a day?  No, I have not purchased this software, YET!  lol

And Smart TV's with voice control or Game Boxes that follow your movements when you play?  Yep, they can see and hear you!

The Other thing that troubles me are those "Driverless Cars".

Once the ride starts the doors are automatically locked.  What if it malfunctioned and decided to drive you off a cliff?  Or worse yet, what if a foreign power decided to take control of our electronics?  Our next war could start with superpowers taking control of our Power Grids, Our ATM's and Banks, Our Water System.  Do not think that All The Superpowers, including the United States, do not have the technology and plans in place to make this happen.

And you wonder why Bill Gates is one of the richest men in the world?

Many experts say the "Next Big Thing" will be advances in Artificial Intelligence.   But at what price to our privacy?
