Sexual Harassment Gone Wild

The first thing I want to make Very Clear is there is NO PLACE in today's society where "Sexual Harassment" is acceptable!

Using one's power to put pressure on someone or making un-wanted sexual advancements or touching is just plain WRONG!

Alabama's Senator Roy Moore is a Prime Example of power going to your head.

All your heads!   Does this photo look like he is practicing his best Senator Al Franken impersonation?

Why is it if the Senator or Congressman is a Republican the Democrats SCREAM for resignations and if it is a Democrat we hear "Well, he apologized!"

And if HALF the allegations against NBC Today Show Host, Matt Lauer is true

how did he keep his $20 Million Dollar a Year Job So Long?

A Professional Poker Player friend of mine told me that just a few years ago it was acceptable to ask a woman out over and over until she said yes or you would just get tired of asking and her telling you no.   He told me one of his friends was "Threatened" with a Sexual Harassment Lawsuit for asking his Assistant out twice.  Is this over-reacting or just that the times are changing?  I don't know the answer but I do know if a woman, or a man are uncomfortable with you doing or saying something, DON'T DO IT!

What was once "Acceptable" is no longer.

The days of a "Woman's Place Is In The Home", is No longer the case.

I am going to "Stay Out Of The Weeds" when it comes to The White House and other political issues like Michael Flynn.

All the Speculation and "Leaks" are Not good for our country.  I lived through the turmoil that was Watergate.  With Social Media as it is, Rumors and just plain Lies get repeated over and over and Fiction can become Facts!   

Think of the Party game when you "Whisper" a story to the next person and they to the next and so on and so on.  At the end of ten or more people the story is 100% Different! 

The same thing happens with Social Media. 

Is it OK to let pets near your computer?

Perhaps not?

Fifty Years ago I had three friends "Go Missing and Disappear Without A Trace" while exploring a cave located directly across the street from where I lived.  Joey and his Brother Billy Hoag and their friend Craig Dowell told friends they were going to explore one of the hundreds of caves in the area and were never heard from again.

Over the years there have been many theories of what happen to the boys, from Abduction to Lost In The Cave.  In two weeks one of the most comprehensive accounts of what happen that fateful day in Hannibal, Missouri will be published.

Author John Wingate, also a friend of the "Lost Boys" has devoted several years of his life putting together this spellbinding account.  On a personal note I have always wondered what happened to my friends.  No bodies were ever found in the cave, no ransom note not a trace of these boys.  So What Happened? 

John's book will be available at Amazon.Com on December 15th.  A Great "Stocking Suffer" if you know someone who grew up in Hannibal, Missouri and a Great Read if you enjoy a good Non-Fiction Mystery.  I highly recommend this book.

This week North Korean Nutjob, Kim Jung Un, fired yet another missile.

The biggest difference with this weeks' launch is the distance this missile flew.  North Korea now has the ability to fire a Nuclear Missile that will reach ANYWHERE in the world!

This includes striking a target ANYWHERE in the United States!
I keep hearing friends say "Oh he would never fire one aimed at the United States as it would be a Death Wish."  Well, this Nutjob does not care as he is quickly losing control of his country.

So what if he fired one at Washington?  It would take about 18 minutes to reach the United States and according to top military experts we would have two shots at interception.  If he fired several missiles, the chances of intercept would become less of a given.

And our retaliation?   Best case scenario it would take 15 minutes for our missiles to reach North Korea and would kill Millions of innocent people.  Once the United States would fire missiles, Kim Jung Un would unleash a barrage of missiles aimed at Seoul, South Korea.  In less than five minutes, North Korea's missiles would murder over Five Million Innocent people.

Overall I am $50 ahead on my NFL Wagers this season.  I lost two games in the last thirty seconds of the game which would had given me a $900 parlay win.  But that is why they call it Gambling.

Dinner With Las Vegas Legends

I will admit that I live a fun life and get to do so many things which most people will never enjoy.

Saturday my friend, Magician Mike Michaels, invited me to dinner with a couple of Las Vegas Legends.  I dined with Disco Star of the 70's & 80's, Monti Rock III, and arguably the Best Comedic Magician In The World, "The Amazing Johnathan" !

At 79, Monti Rock III, who you will remember as "Disco Tex and The Sex-O-Lets" from Saturday Night Fever with the Number One Hit, "Get Dancin" STILL Lights Up A Room when he enters!

A couple of years ago Johnathan was only given a couple months to live due to a Heart Ailment.  Through diet, exercise and Hard Work he was able to build up his strength and schedule some performance again.  The Las Vegas performances were the week I was gone visiting family back East!  BUMMER!   But thanks to Mike, Bill and also Richard who are all personal friends of The Amazing One, he also came to dinner.

I am sad to say that Johnathan is once again having health issues and has had to postpone all his appearances until at least February.   Here is another Legend who did not know me from Adam, who was Funny, Witty, Cordial and treated me as if he had known me for years.   

If you are ever around people in the Entertainment Industry, you will know that they don't sit around making jokes and talking about how Great they are, they talk about life.  They talk of their friends, their families and what is important in their world. 

This evening meant so much to me on both a personal level in getting to meet these Superstars, to a more Private One knowing that my friends World Renowned Magician Mike Michaels, Master Illusion Builder Bill, and others had taken the time and effort to make this evening one I will not soon forget. 

My thoughts and Prayers are with Johnathan as he once again battles his life changing health crisis.

Once again I want to say just how Lucky and Blessed I am for having some great friends from all walks of life.   I am fortunate that here I was a Small Town Boy who wanted to be on the radio, was given the Talent and also some Lucky breaks that gave me the life I am now able to enjoy in retirement here in Las Vegas.

Happy Thanksgiving

I wanted to take a couple minutes to say "Happy Thanksgiving" to all my Friends, Family and all those I have Never Met Who Only Know Me through my blogs which I am Proud to say have been read by over 43,000 people in the past ten months alone.  Thank You for taking the time to listen to my Rants and at the same time are Hopefully Entertained.

Thanksgiving was first celebrated in 1621 when the Pilgrims and the Wompanoag Indians celebrated their first full harvest together.

In 1863 President Abe Lincoln declared that Thanksgiving would be celebrated each year on the Fourth Thursday in November.

But Thanksgiving should not just be celebrated by a Quick Meal and then rushing to read the "Black Friday Ads".  The day should be one when people "Give Thanks" for what they in their lives.  It could be a Loving Family, it could be Good Health, but Everyone has something worth celebrating in their lives on this special day.

I celebrate that even though I will be hundreds of miles from my Mother and my Sisters, that I have a close and loving family.

I have some close friends who once again will celebrate Thanksgiving and Not Speak to their families!  A few of them have even "Forgotten" why they are mad and upset with their Parents or Brothers and Sisters.  I am sorry but HOW DUMB IS THAT?  One day you will wake up and they will be Gone Forever and you will regret never having the opportunity to tell them that "You Love Them". 

I am Thankful for Just Being Alive!  I have well documented my health in my blogs, and if you are a regular reader, you know that my overall health continues to decline.  There is Nothing which can be done so I accept it.  What good does it to complain?  Is God going to wake up one morning and say to himself, "I think I will heal Dano completely today!" Well, he might, but honestly I do not ask for those miracles for myself as there are people in much worse medical shape than I am.   I would rather see God wake up one morning and decide to "Cure Cancer".  That is something which would help Millions!  Not just little Dan O'Brian Bledsoe here in Las Vegas.  I would much rather see him help families who are not speaking see the joy they are missing.   

I am Thankful for some Great Friends.   I often wonder why some of them put up with my Quirky Personality and some time Over The Top Humor that occasionally can offend people?  I Thank them for being so accepting of me.

Most of all I am Thankful for Sharon, my Loving and Caring Wife.  I will never deny that I am NOT the easiest people to live with Day In and Day Out!  And since becoming ill where it is increasingly harder to do things for myself and when taking my Medications having large Personality and Attitude Swings, I look back and don't know how I got so lucky to have Sharon for my Wife. 

For those who are close to us you know by now that Sharon is once again Out Of Town this Thanksgiving helping an Old Friend.  She may not be home until After Christmas but I know her friend needs her more than I do right now and so I try to be understanding. 

I will just shape by Can of Spam to look like a Turkey this Thanksgiving.  OK, I will NOT be eating Spam but instead eating at one of my favorite restaurants, but it sounded good! 

I have so much more to be Thankful about but I Never Forget that I am fortunate to have it better than so many others in this world.

On this Thanksgiving it is time to STOP the Political Hate, even if just for one day.   When it comes to Family and Friends it should Not Matter who you voted for in the past election or why.

It is not something which should be talked about as you enjoy a meal that so many cannot afford.

Make this a Thanksgiving that you will remember for a lifetime.

Enough Already

Every Time I turn on the news or look on Social Media, there is someone BASHING our President.

Did you hear the Election Was Over A Year Ago?   If you don't like the man, work to elect new Senators and Congressmen next year.  In 2020 find someone you like and work to get that person elected.  But to all the Liberal Democrats who spend Hours a Day posting Dozens of Anti-Trump stories on Social Media, STOP IT ALREADY!   For one YOU LOOK STUPID!  YOU LOOK BITTER and like a BAD LOSER ON THE PLAYGROUND!   All your posts do NOTHING but make your friends avoid you.  Nothing will change.  President Trump Does Not Care what you think!  He is NOT going to wake up one morning crying and decide to resign!

And as far as those calling to Impeach President Trump, it's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters, originally called for someone to do America a favor and  "Take Trump out"!   Once the Secret Service told he she could "Go to jail" for that type of talk, she now chants "Impeach 45" at EVERY EVENT she attends.   She was given an award last night and started her Stupid Rant!

Guess what Ms Waters, It's Not Going To Happen!   It takes a vote in the Congress first, which Speaker Paul Ryan has to allow on the floor.  Then it would take a Three Fourths MAJORITY in Both Houses to pass.  In a Republican Control Congress and Senate, the vote would not even be close.

What Congresswoman Waters is doing and those of you who spend countless hours posting Anti-Trump stories, most of which are Made-Up or Half-Truths, YOU ARE HURTING OUR COUNTRY!

Feel Lucky that you live in The United States!   In a MAJORITY of other countries around the World, you would have already been in Prison for many of the things which you have posted!  If not for our "Freedom of Speech", many Journalist would also be in Prison!

According to those who knew him, Walter Cronkite, A Staunch Democrat and Personal Friend of the Kennedy's, would be offended by the "Garbage" put forth by the News Media these days.

You want to know why Gun Violence has increased?  Look no further than the Nightly News and all the HATE being Reported, by BOTH SIDES!  It's the old adage, "Monkey See, Monkey Do!"

This cartoon was published in the Men's Humor Magazine, but it is Not Far Off Base!  A Fifty Plus Year Old Allegation against Senator Roy Moore of Alabama and a Hollywood Scumbag Harvey Weinstein's "Casting Couch" antics started it all!  IT's A REAL PROBLEM which should have been addressed DECADES AGO but now it has Gotten Out of Hand!  Should Senator Moore withdraw from the election?  Yes!   But I do QUESTION what took these girls So Long to tell their story?   Former President Bill Clinton, has been accused MANY times over the years of RAPE!

But because he was a Popular Democratic President, the accusations have been Ignored and Laughed off!   But yet Republican President George Bush

has been Blasted for his "Alleged" inappropriate touching while taking photos from his wheelchair!   Of the DOZENS of Hollywood Stars and Politicians who have been named in recent days, over 95% of them are Republicans!  Are ONLY Republicans Perverts, Child Molesters, and Bad People?   Or is this the Mainstream Liberal Media in Overdrive to Discredit those who do not share their views?  It makes me wonder?

Three UCLA Basketball Players were ARRESTED while in China for "Shoplifting Expensive Sunglasses"!

In China this is a crime which comes with a MANDATORY TEN YEAR PRISON LABOR CAMP! 

President Trump met with China's Leader while on his recent Asia Trip and asked him for "Forgiveness" for our American boys.  Something former President Obama NEVER did for our Men and Women in Foreign Prisons.   In a show of Good Faith, our athletes were allowed to return home.   UCLA has chose to "Suspend" the players from the team for an "Indefinite Period!"   You can bet that within the week the Liberal UCLA will have them back on the team as UCLA is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY their sports programs generate.   By NOT have these three Stars playing, people will quit attending the games!

Kudos to Fox News for allowing Anchor Shepard Smith, give his views on the current Uranium One Controversy.   If you have been following this story, Smith's views are opposite of the Fox News Channel's views.

This would NOT have happened on CNN, MSNBC, ABC News and most of the rest of the Liberal Mainstream Media.  Fox News has always said they are "Fair and Balanced" in their coverage.  This proves it!

Unfortunately, my health issues continue to deteriorate.   Without going in to it, as we all have our problems, there is Nothing which can reverse the issues and it will continue to get worse and worse.  Just in the past six months I have noticed a "Dramatic Change" and after consulting with my Specialist, she decided to Literately Double the dose of my main medicine.  The Upside is that it allows me mobility and reduces some of the pain I suffer twenty hours a day.

The Downside is the main side effect listed for the drug is "Depression, Increased Thoughts of Sucide, and Drowsiness which can affect your ability to Operate Motor Vehicles."     That usually would NOT be a problem except that my Wife Sharon is "Back East" for the next thirty to ninety days.
Don't worry about me even Thinking of Taking My Own Life as I overcame that Side Effect of this drug three years ago when I first started taking it.  I do NOT have any of those thoughts.   I have had to limit my driving to days when I fell 100% safe behind the wheel, which is about three days out of seven. 

Thank Goodness that "Domino's Pizza Deliverers"!  As do about twenty other places in my area. 
On a positive note, my Mind Is Good ( well, as good as it ever was ) and I wake up each morning and are able to Thank God that I am alive!

One of the things which I am "Thankful" for in not being able to sleep at night, is being awake every morning at 3:00am PST to watch "Mike & Mike" on ESPN!

Their show on ESPN2 Television, has kept me informed on the latest in sports and at the same time Made Me Laugh and Made Me Cry.  This Friday, the "Mike & Mike" show signs off for the final time as Journalist Mike Greenberg (left) and former NFL Great Mike Golic (right) end their almost 18 year run.  A LIFETIME in Television.  The Monday following Thanksgiving, Mike Golic will team with Trey Wingo and also his Son Mike Jr., to host a new show "Golic & Wingo".  Greenberg, will co-host a new "Morning Variety Show" live each morning from New York's Time Square starting in early 2018.   I am sure that "Golic & Wingo" will carry on in the morning tradition of Fun and Sports Information!  Trey Wingo, has always been one of my Favorite NFL Annalist on ESPN and seems to have a Great Relationship with Mike Golic.   You know they said that "60 Minutes" would never be the same once Mike Wallace left, but it has gone on to flourish year after year.  I see continued Outstanding Success for the new "Golic & Wingo" show for many years to come.    After all, Mike Golic has Grandkids he needs to pay their way through Notre Dame!  ( if you watch the show you will know what I am talking about )

And NO, I never got one of their Bobbleheads!  lol


I want to wish Everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  For the 35th year in a row I will be spending Thanksgiving with my friend Tim from Ohio.  No matter where we have lived over the years, Tim has always made it a point to spend it with Sharon and myself.  For about the 4th time, Sharon will be away and so it will just be Tim and I having a Great Meal at one of our Favorite Las Vegas Restaurants.

Living in Las Vegas and now with OJ Simpson also living here, this Thanksgiving Cartoon just seems fitting.

Friday Thoughts

I had to get some work done on my car so I dropped if off and when they called to tell me it was ready they said the could not send anyone to pick me up for about an hour.  I told them "That's OK, I will just take a cab".

So on the way I reached over the seat and tapped the Cab Driver on the shoulder to ask him a question.  The drive SCREAMED and Drove Up On The Sidewalk all in a panic!  I said "What was that all about?  I just had a question!"  He told me "I am sorry, I have only been doing this a week and you startled me.

You see my last job was driving a Funeral Hearse!"

Some Signs just say it all!

I live in an "Age Restricted" neighborhood which also has some Very Strict Rules when it comes to solicitors.  I even have a small plaque above my doorbell which says "Please, No Solicitors".
But it NEVER FAILS that about once a week a group of "Jehovah Witness" ring my doorbell!

And it happened again today!  I was taking a nap in my easy chair when "DING-DONG"!  I looked out the Peep Hole and sure enough, there stood a group of five JH's waiting to hand me a "Watchtower" when I opened the door.  To his credit, the Leader of the Jehovah Witness group apologized and said he will make sure I get put back on the list.

Don't get me wrong, I support and respect everyone's religious beliefs.  My wife's Niece and her family are Jehovah Witness, and yes if they rang my bell to hand me a "Watchtower" they would get the same greeting!  Maybe one day I will change my feelings when it comes to JW's, but I don't see that happening ANYTIME Soon as their beliefs are so Totally Opposite of mine.

*** For those who had previously read the above remarks, you know there was another paragraph about how I answer the door when a JW rings my bell.  I had a friend who was a Jehovah Witness who was "Offended" so I took those two lines out.   Someone else asked me if I would even answer the door that way if it was my Niece and her Husband?  The answer if yes, I would not care as previously stated. All anyone has to do is Show Up or Ask.  But I did not wish to offend anyone who reads this blog.


Have you followed this story about the lady who worked for a Government Contractor and when President Trump's motorcade drove by as she was on her bicycle, she Flipped Him Off!

Well, she got FIRED!   No one would have even known it was her if she had not put it as the Main Photo on her Facebook Page!  Seems besides being Disrespectful, she had signed this little thing called a "Morals Clause" which allowed her employer to fire her for posting distasteful photos!  I am so sick of hear people say, "It's her right!  Freedom of Speech" and on and on.  But it is NOT!  She signed a "Morals Clause" which allowed her Employer the right to decide what is or is not Distasteful!

I have gone back and forth with George Takei, you remember him as Sulu, from the Star Trek series as both the Legality and Freedom of Speech issue on this firing.

The first thing I want to note is just how RESPECTABLE both Mr Takei and I have been to each other when discussing this issue.  It's too bad that more Disagreeing People cannot be this Civil to the other's view.  While we both still do not agree with the other, I feel that I have made a solid acquaintance with this Legendary Actor.

I do not want to make this blog about politics but I give President Trump an "A+" for his Asian Trip and his continued calls to get the nukes away from the North Korean Leader.

Bar None, Kim Jong Un, is the Biggest Threat to the World than anything else like Global Warming, ETC!  If there is No World, we have No Need to Stop Global Warming.

I already have a few things picked out to buy, but this is NOT one of them!

Even though my wife is Back East until After The First of The Year, I Don't think I can AFFORD this Christmas Gift.

Maybe I should start a Go Fund Me Page?  Somehow I still don't think I could raise enough to make the purchase?

As I mentioned, for the Third Time in the last Ten Years, my wife is traveling to the East Coast and Florida for the next two months.  For the 35th year in a row, I will get to enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner with my Ohio Friend, Tim.

No matter where we have lived, Tim has joined us, and in a few cases, just me, for Thanksgiving Dinner.  For the 7th year in a row, we will enjoy the "All You Can Eat" Thanksgiving Meal at "Big Dog's Brew House" here in Las Vegas.

For Under $18 you get all the Turkey, Dressing, Yams, Mashed Potatoes and Pumpkin Pie you can eat!   And it includes your soft drink.  It is better than most Casino's Buffet's and about Half The Price!  Of course we both wished Sharon would be here but Business is Business.

It's not a shocker to see most Turkeys dressed in costume this time of year!

But even Dressed Up you still cannot take a Turkey to Church!

Did you see where before he met with President Trump this week, Philippine Leader, Rodrigo Duterte, said he was a Gang Member as a teen and killed at least one person!

I hope they patted him down before the meeting!  Give President Trump credit for taking time to meet with him as Duterte called former President Obama the "Son of A Whore".  Needless to say, President Obama took President Duterte off his Christmas Card List!

Are you like me and SICK AND TIRED of hearing the Liberal Media attack the FLOUS Melania Trump over how Expensive the clothes she wears in public?

NEWS FLASH:  She Can Afford It!   Former First Lady Michelle Obama dressed in Expensive Gowns but you never heard any complaining out of the media.  The Big Difference is that Mrs Trump OWNS her own clothes where Mrs Obama had to Borrow hers.   Give me a F'N Break!

There is a "Good Chance" you will see many empty seats this Sunday as the Veterans have organized a "Boycott The NFL" for this weekend in honor of Veteran's Day.    The NFL has already experience Low Television Ratings and Poor Attendance this season due to the Players Kneeling before the National Anthem.  The Ironic Thing is the Kneeling started as a Civil Rights Issue and NOT an Anti United States Veteran Protest.  This weekend will be a "Real Test" of what American's Really Think!
